Joy + Purpose with Speech to Note

How Speech to Note helps "us" balance the thrill of quick wins with the deeper satisfaction of meaningful work.

Hello Folks,

Welcome to today’s edition of Noteworthy.

2 Types of Happiness:

When we think about happiness, it’s easy to focus on the short-term wins:

  • The thrill of a spontaneous trip

  • A great meal

  • A weekend of fun

This is Hedonic Happiness—quick, fleeting, but undeniably joyful.

But there’s another kind of happiness—the kind Aristotle spoke of long ago—Eudaimonic Happiness. It’s not about quick fixes but about living with purpose, staying true to your values, and building something meaningful.

And here’s the thing—life isn’t about choosing between the two. It’s about finding your sweet spot. You can enjoy the thrill of the moment without losing sight of what really matters.

Next time you’re faced with a choice, ask yourself: Is this a quick win, or an investment in lasting happiness?

Find your rhythm—both can coexist. 😊

Personal Reflections:

Let’s get personal for a moment. 😊

Working on Speech to Note is a lot like balancing Hedonic and Eudaimonic Happiness. We feel the instant joy—the Hedonic kind—when we get positive reviews. It’s that thrill of knowing we’ve made someone’s day a little easier and it feels amazing. 😄

Yet, what truly keeps us going is the deeper satisfaction: the "Eudaimonic Happiness"—that comes from building something meaningful and serves a purpose.

Knowing that we can help so many of you to capture your ideas and thoughts in real time and help in enhancing your productivity!

This is why I make it a point to go through each & every message personally—whether praise or feedback—because each one helps us grow, improve, and contribute to your journey. 💬

Here’s a message that touched me deeply, reminding me why we do what we do:

😃

Messages like these motivate us to show up each day to make STN better!

Community Corner:

This week, here’s a book and a video that I recommend checking out:

  • Book: The Happiness Advantage by Shawn Achor

This book explores how happiness fuels success and how you can retrain your brain to capitalize on positivity.

  • Video: “How to Multiply Your Time” by Rory Vaden (TEDx Talk)

A fantastic video on how to focus on long-term productivity and make the most of your time.

And that wraps up this edition!

I genuinely appreciate you being on this journey with us..

Since, we are continuously growing and building, lets make sure we keep finding that sweet spot while being in the moment and building something towards the purpose as well.

See you in the next one!

Cheers,

Abhishek.
